NORWOOD, PA -- This afternoon, companies were transmitted for a reported house on fire. Chief 20-01
arrived on scene with a 2 1/2 story dwelling with heavy fire showing from the rear, Command reported
extension to the B exposure. Command requested the 2nd alarm be transmitted as the first alarm
companies went to work. Command then reported he had heavy fire 1st and 2nd floor of the main fire
building. The 3rd alarm was transmitted after heavy fire through the main and exposure B. Crews reported a
collapse in the main fire building trapping 3 firefighters. The RIC team(44) went in service for the rescue,
Company 44 found all 3 of the firefighters. Command then reported the bulk of fire was knocked down,
Master stream and deck guns were in service to hit hot spots.

PITTSBURGH, PA -- No one was injured in an unusual construction accident that occurred just after noon on
April 24th. Demolition crews were in the process of tearing down the former Epiphany Catholic Church
school to make way for the new Pittsburgh Penguins arena when the 80 foot crane breaking through the 4
story building tipped over and crushed a parked Chrysler Sebring parked along Colwell Street in the city’s
uptown section. Luckily no one was injured, but the car was totaled. Crews spent most of the after noon
cleaning up the mess and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating what
caused the massive crane to topple.

BLADENSBURG, MD -- BOX 09 was transmitted to 5231 Kenilworth Avenue for the reported apartment on
fire. Company 9 arrived with Fire in the wall/pipe chase w/Extension to 2nd/3rd Floors in the building.
Command transmitted the Second Alarm and had all units stage then were released shortly afterwards.
Crews has a lot of overhaul to ensure all hot spots were taken care of.

2 Alarm Apartment Building, Prince George's County, MD 04.25.2007
KENNETT TOWNSHIP, PA -- The Rescue Local was transmitted to the area of 211 Old Kennett Road for the
reported PIC w/people trapped. Companies arrived on scene with one person trapped after the vehicle hit
a pole and over turned. Companies went to work to free the trapped patient and provided aid to others
injured in the crash.

WATSONTOWN, , PA -- On Monday evening at approximately 17:00 hrs. Warrior Run Area Volunteers were
dispatched to Interstate 1-80 at the Turbotville exit for a vehicle fire.  Shortly after dispatch Engine 9-1 was
on the street staffed with 4 volunteers.  Upon arrival on the scene Engine 9-1's crew found a well off
delivery van.  An 1 3/4 trash line was quickly put in service and a quick knock was made on the auto fire.

Firefighters Tackle Vehicle Fire On I-80, Northumberland County, PA 04.23.2007
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA -- Eng 10-1, Rescue 10-3, Squad 10-9 dispatched to Ganttown & Westminster
for a SUV into a Pole with 1 pinned. Pd arrived on scene with a SUV into a pole, live wires down and 1 victim
trapped. Eng 10-1 arrived with a suv into a pole and 1 victim still inside the suv. Command 10-1 advised the
rescue to go into service upon arrival. Ems transported the victim to the hospital with minor injuries.

CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Units were transmitted for a reported row home on fire. Battalion 1 arrived on
scene with a 3 story MOR heavy smoke showing from all three floors. Companies were advised that a child
was trapped on the 3rd floor, Batt. 1 advised the first engine to go in service with an 1 3/4 line and ladder
company set up for the rescue. Crews advised they have 1 child grabbed and request medics to the front of
the fire building with a rush. Interior crews reported the bulk of the fire knocked down as Medics
transported an 5 y/o male child in full code. The Child arrived DOA at hospital.

Fatal House Fire, Philadelphia County, PA 04.30.2007
PITTSBURGH, PA - In the afternoon hours of April 29th, City of Pittsburgh firefighters were dispatched to a
residential structure fire located on Carnegie Street in the city’s Lawrenceville section. Firefighters arrived
to find a 2 ½ story wood frame dwelling with smoke showing from the roof with exposure problems on Side
B. City firefighters then began an interior attack, but the fire spread to the exposure on Side B and a 2nd
alarm was requested. The fire was quickly knocked down in the exposure building and the fire was brought
under control a short time later. There were no reported injuries but several people were left homeless.
