CITY OF CAMDEN, NJ -- On Monday at 11:00 the Camden City Fire Department was dispatched to the 4100
block of Myrtle Avenue for a report of a fire in the basement of building "E" of Myrtle Court Apartments. First
arriving was 3 Truck with an initial report of heavy smoke in the basement, they advised Engine 9 to stretch
a line to the basement. Battalion 2 arrived and struck the "All Hands". Engine 9 laid in from a hydrant at the
entrance to the complex and stretched an 1-3/4 hand line. Rescue 1 was advised to proceed in and force
entry to the basement, while Engine 11 was advised to take the hydrant, Ladder 1 was assigned FAST, while
Squad 7 provided additional man power. The fire was placed under control in about 20 minutes. There were
no reports on injuries and the origin and cause of the fire is under investigation.

Working Apartment Fire, Camden County, NJ 07.02.2007

CHILLUM, MD -- BOX 44-12 was transmitted to 1516 Madison Street
for the reported Apartment Building on fire. Units arrived with
smoke showing from a 3 story garden style apartment building.
Paramedic/Engine 44 reported to command they had a working fire in
apartment #304 and were going to work. Moments later P/E 44
reported they had a kitchen off, with the bulk of the fire Knocked
and need crews to check for extension above the fire floor. Hook &
Ladder Company 1 completed the primary and secondary searches
with negative findings.

CITY OF CAMDEN, NJ -- At 11:00 the Camden City Fire Department was dispatched to the 2800 Block of
Pleasant Avenue for a dwelling fire. First arriving Battalion 2 reported a two story single family dwelling well
involved. Engine 9 arrived and secured their own water supply,3 Truck was division "A",Engine 11 secured a
secondary water supply at th and Thompson,Squad 7 was on the hydrant at th and Pleasant,Rescue Company
1 provided additional manpower, while Ladder 1 was assigned FAST duties.A partial collapse of the porch
occurred in the first twenty minutes,followed by a complete collapse if the porch about ten minutes later.
The fire was placed under control in under an hour. No injuries were reported, and the fire remain under

House Well Off On Arrival, Camden County, NJ 07.05.2007

SANDY SPRING, MD -- At 5:20 am ECC gave Company 40 the heads up for a First Due House on Fire. Moments
later, ECC sounded Box 40-12 for 4415 Holly Ridge Drive for the House on Fire. E 401, T 40 and A 408
responded along with many other Montgomery County units. Once units were on Emory lane, Thick smoke
was visible in the distance as ECC advised that all occupants were out of the house. Company 40 units
arrived on scene and had a single story, single family dwelling with the heavy fire on side A and B of the
house. E 401 and T 40 made an aggressive attack and knocked down the bulk of the fire with in minutes of
arrival. Battalion Chief 4 arrived on scene and established command. Units remained on scene for quite
sometime for extensive overhaul. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Working House Fire, Montgomery County, MD 07.05.2007

PENNSAUKEN, NJ -- On Friday evening approximately 5:30 PM the Pennsauken Fire Department and BLS
along with ALS 45 were dispatched to the 4400 block of Garfield Avenue for what initially was reported to be
a fall victim. Once units signed on, Camden County Communications advised that it was reported to be a fall
victim from approximately 30 feet out of a bucket truck. Additionally it was reported that there was wires and
a large tree down. On arrival all reports were confirmed. The patient from the fall was transported to a

CITY OF CAMDEN, NJ -- On Friday evening approximately 6:00 PM the Camden City Fire Department and BLS
were dispatched to the PATCO Ferry Avenue Station for a report of a person who fell on the tracks. On
arrival BLS confirmed a person on the elevated platform tracks. Ladder Company 2 was dispatched to render
assistance to BLS. Utilizing their stokes basket Ladder company 2 personnel climbed onto the tracks,
packaged the patient, and along with BLS carried the patient to the awaiting BLS unit. The condition of the
patient is unknown at this time. PATCO Police were on scene conducting an investigation of the incident.

VOORHEES, NJ -- On Saturday triple sevens did not bring any luck to the Voorhees Fire District. At 12:30 the
District was dispatched to 1304 Laurel Oak Road for an investigation. Also initially dispatched were three BLS
units and two ALS units. When the units signed on radio, Camden County Communications advised that they
received a report of an unknown odor in "B" wing,and three people were unconscious. The facility also
advised that they were evacuating the patients from that wing. Once on scene initial units assisted in the
evacuation of the patients and began initial recon. Command requested HAZMAT 13 (Cherry Hill) to the
scene. Once on scene the HAZMAT unit began air monitoring throughout the facility. A further evacuation of
the Annex took place. Additional fire departments were requested,Gibbsboro,West Berlin,and Stratford
assisted at the scene. In the mean time BLS Command was able to gain access to the Eastern High School
for the evacuees. Numerous Mutual Aide BLS units from Camden,Burlington,and Gloucester Counties were
dispatched to the high school.Do to the medical conditions of the evacuees ALS units were also in the High
School assisting with care. HAZMAT cleared the building at approximately 14:45 hours. Three people were
removed and transported to medical facilities with unknown injuries. The incident remains under

AKRON BOROUGH, PA -- BOX 12 was transmitted to the 3200 Block Of Rothsville Road for the reported water
rescue. As Companies were marking up with communications, they were advised of one male victim in the
creek that is intoxicated. Chief 12-2 arrived on scene confirming one patient needing assistance out of the
water. Engine 12-2, Squad 12 along with EMS assisted the male out. Command re-called the water rescue
team from Ephrata Rescue Squad along with Engine Company 15 as the patient was being treated by EMS.

PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP, PA -- The Rescue Local was transmitted to the 700 Block of Lancaster Pike in front
of Moat's Service Center for the reported PIC w/People trapped. Units arrived O/S with (-)Negative
entrapment with a car into the rear of a vehicle in tow on a tow truck. EMS and Members from Company 58
packaged the patients from the white car. No other injuries were reported and the patients were

WESTMONT, NJ -- In the middle of a severe thunderstorm Task Force 15 was dispatched to 413 Crestwood
Avenue for a dwelling fire. As units signed on Camden County Communications advised 15101 that they were
receiving numerous calls of a house struck by lightning. First arriving reported smoke from the upper floor
of a single family dwelling. Squirt 15 was first due, and laid in from a hydrant. Crews led off with 1 3/4 hand
lines. At the 10 minute mark interior reported a heavy smoke condition on the upper floor and they were
searching for the fire. Ladder 15 arrived, laddered the dwelling and vented the roof and attic vents. The fire
was placed under control in under 30 minutes. There were no reported injuries, and the fire remains under

House Fire After Lighting Strike, Camden County, NJ 07.11.2007

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ -- During a thunderstorm an apparent lightning
strike set a refinery tank ablaze. The incident which occurred at rush
hour, was witnessed by many who in turn stopped to watch the tank
burn along Route 130 and Route 295. Foam was being supplied to fight
the blaze by many mutual aide resources. HAZMAT teams were put on
standby throughout the tri county region. There were several reports
of what was in the tank,with the most recent being xylene. There were
reports of evacuations of an unknown amount of people, to a local
church. There were no reports on injuries and the incident which is
still ongoing will be under investigation.

GLENN DALE, MD -- BOX 18 was transmitted to the 10900 Block of Patuxent Avenue for the reported Vehicle
into a house. Units from Company 18 arrived with one Car into the house. The operator of the vehicle was
parking the vehicle and depressed the gas pedal instead of the brake and went through the Alpha Side of

GAITHERSBURG, MD -- BOX 08-05 was transmitted to 10339 Royal Wood Court for the reported townhouse on
fire. Units arrived on scene with heavy fire and smoke showing from the building. Command Transmitted the
second alarm and sounded evacuation tones as they tried to bring the blaze under control. The blaze
started on the deck of one townhouse and spread to several others. Investigators believe someone was
frying French fries and the oil spilled. One person suffered minor burns and another was taken to the

SILVER HILL, MD -- BOX 29 was transmitted to 5823 Center Drive for the reported shed on fire. Engine 291
arrived on scene with a shed on fire next to a house requesting to fill the Box alarm. Communications
upgraded the assignment to the house fire as the crew battled the fire, which had now spread to the house.
The Working Fire was transmitted as the first alarm units were being brought up. Command reported he now
had a 2 1/2 story wood frame well off with exposure problems. As crews worked to bring the fire under
control and were doing overhaul over an hour later they found a large dog still alive in the basement. The
dog was taken to the Vets for a check-up. The house and shed were a complete loss.

BLADENSBURG, MD -- Around 1035 hours this morning a Firefighter reported to communications that he had
a working house fire at 4613 Edmonston Road and requested the BOX be filled. Communications transmitted
BOX 09-17 to the above address for the working house fire. Engine 92 arrived O/S shortly afterwards
reporting heavy fire showing from the Charlie side of the house. Command transmitted the Fire Task Force
for manpower as crews battled the fire. Command reported that he had a 2 Story S/F/D with heavy fire on the
first floor on the Charlie side. Crews had the fire knocked shortly after the updated report. One Fireman was

LAUREL. MD -- BOX 49 was transmitted to 203 Washington Blvd. for the reported house on fire. Units arrived
on scene with a large 2 1/2 wood frame mansion well off with heavy fire showing from all four sides. Units all
went heavy duty as command transmitted the 2nd Alarm with special alarm units added as needed. The Old
Linzey Mansion as it was known dates back to the 1880's.
