CAMDEN CITY, NJ -- On June 1st, 2007, the Camden City Police Department notified the dispatcher of a house
on fire at 1024 Niagra Rd at 8 am. Engine 10, Squad 7, Ladder 2 and 1, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1, were
dispatched on the box. Engine 8 was added as the 3rd Engine Company due to County Radio receiving
multiple calls. While Fire Units were responding, Police made entry into the dwelling to find the occupants
unaware their house was on fire. All occupants made it out without injury. Engine 10 arrived and confirmed
smoke showing from the 2nd floor and attic area. Battalion 1 arrived and reported a middle of the row,
working fire. Battalion 2 was added to the box. Engine 10 went in operation with a 1 3/4” hand line as Ladder
2 placed ground ladders and performed outside vent. Squad 7 secured a water supply and followed in with
a backup line. Rescue 1 performed searches in the fire building as well as forcing entry into the exposure
for a search and check for extension. At the 20 minute mark, Battalion 1 reported the bulk of the fire was
knocked down and placed the fire under control. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation

MANHEIM TOWNSHIP, PA -- The 87th Annual Lancaster County Firemen's Association 2007 Convention was
hosted by the Manheim Township Fire Department consisting of Eden, Neffsville and Southern Manheim
Township Fire Companies on Friday June 1 through Saturday June 2, 2007. The annual convention kicks off
Friday evening with a Memorial Service at the Lancaster Bible College Chapel for departed members of the
Lancaster County Firemen's Association and our fallen firefighters. Following the memorial service an
awards ceremony will be held in the Lancaster Bible College Dinning Hall. The annual Firemen's parade was
held on Saturday June 2 at 1400Hrs. The parade was formed at the Manheim Township School Complex and
proceed onto Lititz Pike and traveled south where it terminated at East Roseville Road. Congrat's to all the

LIMERICK, PA -- Shortly after 1630 hrs the Limerick Fire Co. (MONTCO 54) was alerted to a vehicle vs pole.
Upon arrival of PD the officer had found one vehicle that had struck a utility pole and was trapped inside.
The Vehicle Rescue was then transmitted bringing in Companies 51 (Linfield) and 58 (Sanatoga). The woman
was extricated shortly after and was flown to the trauma center via Pennstar 3.

LOWER POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, PA -- Just shortly after clearing from assisting Limerick Fire Co. with there
vehicle rescue, the Sanatoga Fire Co (MONTCO 58) was alerted to there own vehicle rescue. Like the first
call it was originally dispatched as a vehicle accident with injuries. Upon arrival of the first emergency units
this too was upgraded to a Rescue. Crews quickly extricated the patient and EMS transported to the
hospital. Units on scene were 58 (Sanatoga) Rescue 69 (Pottstown) 329 (Pottstown) and 324 (Trappe) EMS.

MARS, PA -- Adams Area and Cranberry VFC were alerted at approximately 2:20am Saturday morning for a
neighbor reporting a house behind theirs that appeared to be on fire. On Engine 42's arrival, Captain Bill
Hayes reported smoke coming from the rear of the home and established command. Once the attack crew
entered the structure and quickly extinguished the fire with CAFS (Compressed Air Foam System), they did a
search of the home for any victims. Shortly after beginning their search, they found a victim on the first floor
unconscious. The crew quickly removed her from the hazardous environment and to an awaiting Cranberry
ambulance where she was transported to the hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.

PEQUEA TOWNSHIP, PA -- BOX 511 was transmitted to 366 Baumgardner Road for the reported house on fire.
Companies arrived with a 2 1/2 story woodframe house that was struck by lightning with fire showing.
Command transmitted the 2nd alarm as the first alarm companies went to work. Crews operated for about 1

LOWER POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, PA -- After being awaken early morning for a building fire the Sanatoga Fire
Co (58) was once again awaken to the the pagers going off in the morning for a vehicle accident in front of
Station 58. Just like the last two this one to was upgraded to a Rescue. Upon arrival of units, units found a
two vehicle accident with one trapped. Crews quickly did a door pop and removed the patient. Due to no
witnesses and the positioning of the two cars PD had to do an accident reconstruction of the scene. Crews
remained on scene for a lil over an hour and a half. Units on scene were 58 (SANATOGA) Rescue 69

BELTSVILLE, MD -- At 1318 hours, Prince George's County Rescue Squad 14 (Berwyn Heights), Chief 14
(Fusco) and Chief 14A (McCoy) were dispatched to northbound Baltimore Washington Parkway at Greenbelt
Road for the personal injury accident. Multiple calls were received by Public Safety Communications
advising the accident was somewhere between Greenbelt Road and Powder Mill Road, on both the
northbound and southbound sides of the BW Parkway, with many cars involved. The units from 14 arrived
with the units from Beltsville and Greenbelt at the correct location of northbound BW Parkway at Beaver
Dam and found one trapped. Chief 31B established Command and Chief 14 was assigned the Extrication
sector. To remove the patient, the squad men started by stabilizing the vehicle and removing the glass.
Next, the roof was quickly removed. The patient was taken out the back of the car on a backboard and
loaded into an awaiting ambulance for transport to a local trauma center. The units from 14 were ready for

LIVONIA, NY -- On Saturday, June 9, Livonia Fire and EMS were
dispatched to a reported utility pole on fire on Federal Road. A
second report from dispatch reported a raccoon on fire on top of a
transformer. Livonia Fire Chief Lari Whiting arrived on location, and
reported that the fire was out and to advise National Grid power

PENNSAUKEN, NJ -- Just after 1am on Sunday June 10th, 2007 Pennsauken Firefighters were dispatched to
217 Griffith Morgan Lane at the Old Camden County Animal Shelter for a reported building fire. First due
companies reported a 1 story 75X50 structure heavily involved and also a seperate shed fire as well on the
same property. Dispatched consisted of Station's 11-5, 11-1, Snorkel 11-2, Rescue 11-3 as the RIT company.
Companies led off with 3 1 3/4 handlines and several forestry lines to both fires. Deputy Director Of Public
Safety (Mattera) was Command, Battalion 11-5 (Robey) was operations. Command requested an additional
company to the scene, bringing Station 11-4. The building that was involved was the offices for the Animal
shelter and was a complete loss. The storage shed was an area for other materials to be stored, also noted a
vehicle was damaged as well due to the fire. Companies operated for 1 hr before placing the fire under
control. Also noted is that Station 11-5 was just recently at the complex for several deceased animals that
were left in a storage freezer after the power was cut to the buildings. A MVA with extrication also during the
time of the All Hands fire. Companies that were covering the stations responded to this incident along with
Cinnaminson Rescue-Engine 2013. No injuries were reported at the scene of the fire, but several patient's
had to be taken from the MVA. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Camden County Fire

CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Minutes past 7 am on Sunday June 10, 2007, Philadelphia units were dispatched
to 54th Street and Chester for a building fire. Units arrived and reported a 2 story taxpayer with heavy fire
showing from the Dollarway and the apartments above. Command also reported the exposure being a
Supermarket was also in danger. The 2nd alarm was transmitted shortly after arrival. Command requested 2
additional Pipelines. One to be positioned in the Division A and the other in Division C. Command reported
water supply problems and access to the building being limited. Command also reported at this time crews
were setting master streams up to be placed in operation. The 3rd alarm was sounded approx 45 minutes
into the job. A 4th alarm was also requested minutes later. Command reported there were still heavy fire
conditions present in the original fire building. The fire displaced 16 residents and took over 100 firefighters
to battle the blaze. The supermarket sustained some damage as well as the other exposures. The fire is

LOWER POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, PA -- Well yet again the Sanatoga Volunteers were at it again. Shortly
before 5:30hrs Sanatoga Fire Co ( 58 ) was alerted to a accident with injuries, reported 1 vehicle on its roof
with the driver still inside. Upon arrival of the first units they found the car on its roof with the male driver
still inside. The rescue box was then transmitted. After completion of the rescue the victim was then taken

CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, PA -- On Sunday June 3, 2007 at 130 am, Fire units were dispatched for an M.V.A at 54
and Walnut. Command arrived and reported a one vehicle accident with severe damage and one pt. in
serious condition requesting a medic. The vehicle took the turn, struck a pole, and came to rest after
crashing into a wall. Fire crews operated on scene awaiting arrival of medics. One medics arrived they
pronounced the pt. D.O.A. No other vehicles were involved in the fatal crash. Philadelphia Police are

CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, PA -- On June 10, 2007, Crews were dispatched to 4540 Mitchell St. for a reported
dwelling fire at 10:15 hours. Upon arrival, crews reported a 3 story 18x45 dwelling, with medium smoke on
the 2nd floor. Crews went in operation and reported fire in the kitchen area on the 2nd floor. One Medic

was added as the 3rd due Engine Company as County Radio was receiving multiple calls. Battalion 1 arrived
and reported a 2 story end of the row vacant with fire on the first floor. Squad 7 went in operation with a 1 ¾
hand line as Engine 8 secured a water supply. Ladder 2 through ground ladders as Rescue 1 performed

LOWER POTTSGROVE TOWNSHIP, PA -- Sanatoga Volunteers at it again, this time at 1217hrs Stations 58
(Sanatoga ) and 59 (Ringing Hill) were alerted to a building on Potter Drive. PD arrived in the area with a
large column of smoke. Shortly after pulling up PD then notified county he had a fully involved house with
heavy fire thru the roof and serious exposure to the neighboring home. Upon his report the second alarm
was then struck bringing the RIT team and more apparatus and manpower. Shortly after 20 mins with crews
making headway on the first floor the roof gave way and Command 58 orderd the evacuation tones. The fire
went to an all defensive attack and was eventually brought under control. Units on scene were 58

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD -- At 1800 hours, units were alerted to 5327 Sheriff Road for the building fire. Engine
92 and Truck 9 with Nine Volunteers were running as the Third due Engine and the Second due Truck
Company. Engine 384 and Chief 38 arrived on the scene with heavy smoke showing. Truck 9 arrived on the
scene setting up on side "B" of the structure. The interior crew worked with Engine 384 locating the fire.
The outside crew threw ladders, forced entry and set up for "Heavy Duty" operations. Engine 92 layed a
secondary water supply from the D.C. line and positioned at the "A-D" corner. The crew advanced a line into
exposure B1 to work at the extension in the void spaces. Engine 92 also supplied Quint 22 and a portable
deck gun on side "C". After about 20 minutes of work, and heavy fire conditions through out the structure,
command sounded the evacuation tones. Command used Truck 9, Quint 22, Towers 33 and 7 to knock
majority of the fire. With the four master streams and 5 hand lines majority of the fire was knocked in about
45 minutes. Units operated for another two hours hitting hot spots. A total of five businesses were
destroyed by the fire. Around Two alarms worth of units operated on the fire ground. Several District of
Columbia units worked on the fire ground for two plus hours. Around 2100 hours, command started
releasing units. Company 9 cleared the fire ground around 2200 hours. Chief 9 operated at the fire ground
