CITY OF CAMDEN, NJ -- On May 20, 2007 at 4 pm, Engine 8 was dispatched for a smoke investigation at 5th
and Division.  Police arrived in the area to find a dwelling on fire at 818 S. 5th Street. A full box was
dispatched to that location. Engine 1, Engine 6, Ladder 1, Ladder 2, Rescue 1 and Battalion 1 were
dispatched. Engine 8 arrived to find smoke showing from the rear of the property.  Battalion 1 arrived and
reported a 2 story, ordinary construction with a working fire in the rear striking the all hands.  Battalion 2 was
added to the box. Battalion 1 reported at the 10 minute mark, crews were in operation with 2 1 ¾ hand lines
with water on the fire. Ladder 1 through ground ladders and removed the boards from the windows and
Rescue 1 performed searches. One firefighter was injured on the fire ground and treated for minor injuries.
The dwelling was vacant at the time of the blaze. Neighbors reported seeing a person leave the dwelling
shortly before it was called in. The fire is under investigation by the Camden City Fire Marshals.

Smoke Investigation Turns Up House Fire, Camden County, NJ 05.20.2007
CUMRU TOWNSHIP, PA -- At 16:56 on Friday May 18th, BCCC alerted Co.'s 70, 2, and 23 for the Rescue to
Route 422 between 176 and Mt. Penn exit for the PIC with entrapment involving a Tractor Trailer with
rollover. While en-route location was changed to 422 between 176 and Lancaster Ave in Cumru Twp and
entrapment was negative. Units arrived to find one TT on the "jersey" barrier with both saddle tanks torn
open, one mid-sized car on its roof, and another vehicle that was hit with a chunk of concrete. 70-11 had
route 422 command and recalled 23, requested 67 and 2's spill trailers, and a response from Berks EMA.
Clean up crews arrived and handled the clean-up under the watch of a DEP representative. 422 was closed
for approx. three hours, causing a traffic nightmare all around and hindering the responders.

PIC Ties Up Route 422 For Hours, Berks County, PA 05.18.2007
FRANKLIN COUNTY, PA -- Franklin County 911 dispatched units from Franklin County and Cumberland County
Pa ( Co. 15 & 11, CC 52, 52, & 51) for a reported shed fire @ 3246 Orrstown Rd. Units arrived on the scene to
find a 25X15 shed heavily involved. Crew attacked the fire and over hauled.  Units were held for appox. 1
hour. No injuries were reported.

Working Out Building, Franklin County, PA 05.22.2007
BLADENSBURG, MD -- Around 1430 hours, units from Bladensburg VFD Company 9 were alerted to the
construction site in the area of Upshur Street and 47th Street for the injured worker. Units arrived to find a
man that had become unconscious atop of a concrete elevated railway pillar. He was approx. 30 feet above
ground. With the task of removing the man to the ground for EMS workers Chief 9 requested Tower Ladder
33 and Technical Rescue Company 22. As the special called units responded toward the scene the worker
regained consciousness. Tower Ladder 33 arrived moments later and positioned for removal. Since Tower
Ladder 33 was able to safely remove the worker Technical Rescue Co. 22 was placed in service. The worker
was evaluated by Paramedics on the scene. Tower Ladder 33 operated for approx. 10 minutes before
returning to Kentland 33.

Technical Rescue, Prince George's County, MD 05.21.2007
CHESTER CITY, PA -- Companies were transmitted to the Rescue Local in the area of the 2700 block of
Chestnut Street in Chester City. First reports were of one person trapped after a 2 car crash. One patient
was transported to CCMC with no feeling from the arms down. Tower and Engine 82 responded along with
Medics 100, 83-7 100-7 and 81-7. Chester 11 had the Chestnut Street command.

KENTLAND, MD -- At 2256 hours, numerous 9-1-1 phone calls began pouring into fire communications
advising that a building was on fire at the intersection of West Forest Road and Vermont Avenue. Engine
331, Engine 332, Tower Ladder 33 and A/Chief 33 (Kelleher) with 14 volunteers responded toward the
reported location. Chief 33 arrived in the area first with smoke issuing from the rear of an apartment house.
At that time a corrected address of 6807 West Forest Road was now being reported. Chief 33 confirmed the
corrected address and reported fire showing from the first floor side-D and people trapped on the third
floor. Engine 331 quickly arrived and stretched the 250-foot preconnect to the front doorway of the involved
apartment. Meanwhile Tower Ladder 33 sprung into action taking out a security fence and placing ground
ladders to the third floor. Squadsman Nicholas Romanchick scaled one of the ladders to a third floor
apartment and removed one adult and two children from their smoke filled apartment. The three citizens
were evaluated by Kentland and Bladensburg Volunteers before being treated by other EMS personnel.
Engine 332 stretched a line to the floor above and checked for extension. After the removal of the
occupants from the third floor all searches proved negative. The fire was quickly knocked down and
contained to the apartment of origin. Numerous PPV and negative pressure fans were used to remove the
large amount of smoke throughout the building. Approx. 15 minutes into the incident Command held Engine
331, Engine 332, Tower Ladder 33 and Truck Co. 9. Volunteers from Kentland Fire Station 33 returned home
at 0006 hours. Chief 33 had the "West Forest" command.

Apartment Building Fire w/Multiple Rescues, Prince George's County, MD 05.22.2007
MARTIC TOWNSHIP, PA -- The Rescue Local was transmitted to the area of the 800 Block of River Road for the
reported PIC w/Rollover. Units arrived on scene to find a 2 vehicle crash involving a mid-sized picked up
truck in a yard that rolled over multiple times. Command requested Skycare Aero Medical to fly direct for one
patient involved in the crash. EMS units from 59 and 77 worked on the patient till the Aero medical team
arrived and flew the patient to a local trauma center.

Rollover PIC w/Flyout, Lancaster County, PA 05.24.2007
MERCHANTVILLE, NJ -- Stations 12-9, 11-6 and bls 12-88 were dispatched to 24 west end ave for a reported
dwelling fire. 1101 arrived on location with heavy smoke showing from the second floor of a two story twin.
1101 ordered the first due engine to lead off with a hand line also requested engine 11-91 from pennsauken
into to the job to grab a hydrant and lay in. other special request were cascade 11-4 rescue 11-3 engine
11-31 and units from cherry hill fire dept.Shortly after the fire was placed under control.Fire is under
investigation with the Camden County fire marshals.

All Hands House Fire, Camden County, NJ 05.25.2007
BOWIE, MD -- The Rescue Local was transmitted to Route 301 @ Route 197 for the PIC involving a
Departmental Vehicle. Units en route were update of Medic 43 involved in a PIC with a pick up truck at the
intersection. Units arrived with the Medic unit t-boned in the intersection, crews from Rescue Squad 18
removed the drivers side door on the Rig to remove the medic. Both Medics were flown from the scene for
check ups.

Departmental PIC w/Flyout, Prince George's County, MD 05.25.2007
CINNAMINSON, NJ -- In the early morning hours this morning the Task Force assignment was dispatched for
a reported house fire at 2300 New Albany Road. First arriving apparatus confirmed a working fire with a
water supply was at division A, and all occupants were accounted for.Engine 2011 secured the water supply
and went in operation with numerous hand lines.Several mutual aide departments including Moorestown
,Palmyra, and Riverton were on scene. There were no report on injuries, and the fire is under investigation
by the Cinnaminson Fire Marshal, and Burlington County Fire Marshal Office.

EPHRATA BOROUGH, PA -- PUMPFIRE team members attended the Ephrata Area Rescue Squad's annual open
house on Saturday May 26th 2007. The events were run by Volunteer members of the Department, Members
ran various events through out the day. The event ranged from a Dunk tank were member of the Rescue
Squad... Even the Deputy Chief was dunked and A Vehicle Recue Demo was held later in the day. Ephrata
Area Rescue Squad Company 115 is located in Lancaster County, PA and is an all Volunteer Department with
many dedicated members to which they serve the Ephrata area and beyond when needed. Many thanks to
the members and Officers of the Department who welcomed us to this event.

Working House Fire, Burlington County, NJ 05.27.2007
POTTSTOWN, PA -- Shortly before 0400 hrs the dept was alerted to a dwelling fire in the 300 block of Cherry
St.  PD went on location with heavy smoke showing from a 2 story vacant house and shortly after the first fire
unit went on location confirming the heavy smoke from the rear of the building.  As crews started there
initial attack the fire quickly started to spread thru the walls and into the roof where it began to vent itself
while the roof team was proceeding to the 2nd floor roof above the fire.  The fire was quickly knocked down
and overhaul crews went into operation.  Cause of the fire is under investigation. Units on scene were...

Early Morning House Fire, Montgomery County, PA 05.27.2007
BURLINGTON COUNTY, NJ -- During an evening thunderstorm Task Force 221 was dispatched to 216
Glenview Court in the Tara development off of Evesham Road. First arriving confirmed a working fire. First
Engine 2232 went in operation with several hand lines, and secured a water supply at Division "A". Ladder
2215 arrived and opened up. Quint 362 was called in for RIC. The fire was placed under control in under an
hour. A cat was saved from the residence. The fire is under investigation by the Burlington County Fire
Marshal.

WEST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, PA -- The Rescue Local was transmitted to 78 Beaver valley Pike for the
reported PIC w/Entrapment. Units arrived O/S with a SUV and a milk tanker involved in the intersection with
the Milk Tanker into a house. Crews did a quick size up of the scene and the driver of the SUV was heavily
trapped. Crews went to work to extricate the driver as command requested the County Hazmat team and
Collapse team as the house was struck and entered by the tractor of the milk tanker. The Driver of the SUV
was called a Priority 4 on scene before EMS could transport.

Fatal PIC w/Entrapment, Lancaster County, PA 05.28.2007
LOWER POTTSGROVETOWNSHIP, PA -- We've al heard the term " Sign and Drive "  Well one person took it a
lil to far.  At 1245 hrs Sanatoga Firefighters were alerted to a vehicle accident, reported car into a building
with structural damage.  Upon arrival units found a black Honda that had driven through the showroom
doors briefly interrupting there dealership's big Memorial Day Sale and BBQ. No one was injured but I'm sure
that car will have a new Carfax report.  Crews quickly secured the car and the building and later went
available. Units on scene were E-58-1 and QUINT 58.

Come On In While The Deals Are Hott!, Montgomery County, PA 05.28.2007
BROWN TOWNSHIP, PA -- At 1739 hrs on May 28th Mifflin County 911 activated box 6-40 for a Vehicle Fire on
Rt 655 in Brown Twp. Sending units from Co 6 (Reedsville), 7 (Milroy), and EMS 7 (Milroy). Upon response
units were advised this was to be at 7210 Rt 655 reported as a working truck fire. Upon arrival units found a
pickup truck with a walk in utility bed on it with heavy fire from the engine and passenger compartments.
Crews had the fire knocked in about 10 min but remained on scene until 1825 hrs with extensive overhaul.

Work Truck Off On Arrival, Mifflin County, PA 05.28.2007
PENNSAUKEN, NJ -- On May 28, 2007, Pennsauken Fire received a walk up to the station from a civilian
reporting a house fire.  The full assignment was dispatched to 1709 Browning Road. Command arrived and
reported a 2 story single family dwelling with heavy smoke showing. Command reported a basement fire and
struck the all hands. Engine 1191 arrived and went in operation with a 1 ¾ “ hand line.  1191 reported heavy
fire conditions in the basement.  Searches were performed with negative results. At the 10 minute mark
Command reported crews were still in operation with a hand line with additional hand lines being stretched.
At the 20 minute mark, Command reported crews were making good progress on the fire conditions in the
basement. One firefighter was transported to an area hospital with smoke inhalation. The cause of the blaze
is under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshals Office as well as the Pennsauken Fire
Department.

BERWYN HEIGHTS, MD -- The Rescue Local was transmitted in the area of Kenilworth Avenue south of
Pontiac Street. Rescue Squad 14 arrived with one vehicle into a tree with entrapment. Squad 14 went to
work and extricated the driver while EMS did patient care.

EAST AVON, NY --  On Wednesday, May 30, East Avon Fire Department and Avon EMS were dispatched to a
reported barn fire on Routes 5 and 20 near Interstate 390. Fire units arrived on location and found a barn
fully involved. Mutual aid was requested to the scene from Avon, Lima, Lakeville and Livonia Fire
Departments. There were no injuries.
