KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI -- In October members of Kalamazoo Twp Station 2 made a trek across town to the
Pfizer FD training grounds to train on extinguishing flammable liquid fires. Capt. Shane Peterson and FF Joe
Landreville of Pfizer FD led the training teaching the members how to extinguish flammable liquid fires using
extinguishers and also handlines. Crews took place in several evolutions using different extinguishers for
different size fires. Finishing the evening off using two handlines crews were able to see how tough it can
be extinguishing flammable liquid fires with water only. After 2hrs of training KTFD members returned to
there area.

COVERING YOUR FIRST DUE!
KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, MI -- On Saturday Nov. 1st 2008 members of Kalamazoo Twp FD participated in a live
training burn at old house that was donated to the dept for training. Over the past several months members
took part in several different training scenerios consisting of RIT, ventilation, fire attack and other topics.
That Saturday members were able to participate in several live burn evolutions before finally letting the
house go. All those who participated learned alot and had a good time. But most importantly everyone stayed
safe!

Truck Company Drills At The Old Congress Inn, Lancaster County, PA 01.26.2010
EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, PA -- On Tuesday January 26th, East Lampeter Township area Fire Departments
received word from D/C S. Hershey of Company 63 of a golden training opportunity. With-in the next couple
weeks the Old Congress Inn Motel along Route 30 is being slated for demo. With this, D/C Hershey invited
surrounding Departments with a chance to practice their hands-on skills in this otherwise useless structure.
Companies 63, 510, 41, 48 & 410 took part in this and gained many skills as the night went on. Crews worked
on everything from forcible entry to trench cuts. Companies have use of the building for the next few nights
before its leveled for future development.

Flash Over Drill Delaware County, PA 02.20.2010
SHARON HILL, PA -- On February 20th, PUMPFIRE staff members along with the Belvedere Volunteer Fire
Company out of Delaware State conducted a flash over drill at DCCC. Members went through many hands on
live fire drills in the simulator.  Crews where taught the many stages of fire growth and seen first hand many
flashovers in the simulator.
